Engage in an interactive deep dive to discover your personal Money Habitudes and how your money personality affects your day-to-day money management choices. Learn to draw on your strengths to make decisions about saving, budgeting and investing, and recognize the thoughts and feelings about money that undermine your success. Understanding your Money Habitudes will springboard your positive money choices now and in the future. This workshop-style experience will provide strategies to use your unique strengths to reach your financial dreams.

    • In this workshop, you will learn how starting a business on the side could give you an outlet for your creativity and aspirations as well as generate some extra income. Women’s Business Center of Utah will share examples of side businesses that are easier to start and common for a lot of women who already work a full-time job as well as important information, tips, templates, and resources to help you launch your new business.

  • Achieving Financial Security Through Home Ownership
    • Trying to buy a house right now might feel overwhelming, but waiting too long can present challenges as well. Owning a home is a fundamental aspect of personal finance in building equity and wealth. The earlier an individual begins learning about buying a home, the better equipped they will be to navigate the housing market and make informed decisions. In this interactive workshop, we will discuss the bill passed this year by the Utah Legislature for first-time homebuyers purchasing a newly-constructed home, other down payment assistance programs, outside-the-box ideas for homeownership, and what happens after you purchase a home.     • Turn on your camera for this interactive, virtual workshop.  In 2005, Katie Bunnell’s husband passed away unexpectedly, leaving her to provide for her three-month-old daughter and herself. She wanted to return to school to receive her bachelor’s degree but found it difficult to find childcare and financing to help pursue her dream. Eventually, she found help and completed her bachelor’s degree from Utah Valley University in 2.5 years. During this workshop, attendees will discuss ideas on how to turn pain into purpose and pursue your dreams when life’s many challenges get in the way.
