LAWMAKERS from the House of Representatives heeded President Rodrigo Duterte’s call for the swift passage of the 2021 national budget and to set aside political differences after the Chief Executive sought a special session and certified the General Appropriations Bill (GAB) as urgent.
Duterte issued on Friday Proclamation 1027, directing the resumption of deliberations from October 13 to 16 “to avoid any further delays on the prompt passage of the national budget in accordance with the Constitution and other applicable laws, rules and regulations.”
