Army Capability Visit - A Day of Insight and Action!   On 21 March 2025, we had the privilege of hosting an exclusive Army Visit for our employers and NS Key Appointment Holders (KAHs). The day was packed with learning, hands-on experiences, and a thrilling live demonstration!   Visitors gained an in-depth understanding of the different formations and divisions within the Army, shedding light on the incredible teamwork and precision that drive our national defence. Everyone had the opportunity to try their hand at state-of-the-art Armour simulators, immersing themselves in the world of tactical operations. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly witnessing the live firing of the Leopard 2SG Main Battle Tank and the Hunter Armoured Fighting Vehicle in action—an awe-inspiring display of power and precision!   A big thank you to everyone who joined us on this unique experience, and to the Army for making it an unforgettable event! 🙌   We’re grateful for the partnership and support of employers in strengthening the connection between civilian industries and our national defence. We would also like to thank our NS KAHs for their dedicated service and contributions to the defence of Singapore. Employer’s Visit to Commando Training Institute | 13 Feb 2025   The National Service Directorate (NSD) welcomed employers to the Commando Training Institute, offering them an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the training that our NSmen experience during their In-Camp Training (ICT).   During this visit, Senior Minister of State for Defence, Mr Heng Chee How, emphasized the critical role National Service plays in safeguarding Singapore’s security, ensuring a stable environment where businesses can thrive.   Employers were given a hands-on experience with the training equipment used by our elite Commandos, including the high-tech Airborne Training System (ATS), Rotational Training Systems (RTS), and the Parachute Flight Simulator (PFS).   A heartfelt thank you to all employers for your unwavering support for National Service. Employers’ Visit to the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) | 26 November 2024 The National Service Directorate (NSD) had the pleasure of hosting an employers’ visit to the Singapore Navy, offering a closer look at the critical roles our NSmen play during their In-Camp Training (ICT). During the visit, our employers had the unique opportunity to explore the interiors of RSS Resolution and MV Mentor, gaining insights into the ships’ history and operations, as well as exclusive hands-on demonstrations of some of the shipboard equipment. This experience provided our employers with a deeper appreciation of the training and dedication their NSmen exhibit while serving the nation. The Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (ACCORD) marked 40 years of support for National Service (NS) and Total Defence (TD) with an Appreciation and Appointment Function held at the National Gallery Singapore today. ACCORD Co-Chairmen, Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Defence Heng Chee How and SMS Zaqy Mohamad, expressed their gratitude to the 23 members who will be stepping down on 24 August and welcomed 21 new ACCORD members. Let’s hear from Mr. Ping Soon Kok, Co-Chair of the ACCORD (Employer & Business) Council, on ACCORD’s contributions towards TD and NS, as well as his vision for the ACCORD (E&B) Council.

This morning, 385 Operationally Ready National Servicemen (NSmen) from 240 companies and their employers participated in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Day Combined Rededication Ceremonies at four locations across Singapore to reaffirm their commitment to national defence. Minister for Defence, Dr Ng Eng Hen officiated the ceremony at Suntec City Convention Centre, organised by the Singapore Manufacturing Federation. Dr Ng highlighted the essential role of NSmen and their employers in national defence, stating that the commitment and hard training of soldiers ensure the SAF's strength and capability to defend Singapore.
