I read all three books as they came out and enjoyed them all. I love book sets because you don’t have to wait for the books to come out they are all there in one place. I found that you pick up more in a box set because you keep reading until the end and you don’t have to wait for the next part to come. This story is intriguing, action packed and the characters are wonderful. You have the good, the bad and the ones you are not sure of, are they good or bad? This was a page turner and I liked the way Ana’s character grew in the books. This set is a good read and I would recommend it to everyone.

This set has the first 3 books of The Balance Bringer series! This story isn’t finished with these books, so you’ll need to continue with the next books for the full story. Entertaining, fun magical adventure!

Becoming - Book 1

Lots of unique ideas and cool elements. There's fun settings; the author does a good job with her descriptions of a scene that really paint an awesome picture in my mind. There's interesting characters as well, and I enjoyed the magical elements. The writing doesn't quite flow well at times. In the beginning, main character, Ana, has experienced a loss, is having weird dreams that seem too real, and is experiencing weird things in real life, so it's understandable that she's feeling like she might be a bit crazy and things are discombobulated. I attributed the weird flow of the story as Ana's state of mind being challenged because she's dealing with some unbelievable things. There is some really weird stuff going on in her life, so it makes sense that random shifts of scene would happen in Ana's life; there's magical things causing strife in Ana's life. I don't know if that was the author's intent or if the writing just doesn't flow, but that's the way I took it. Ana is a strong character in many moments, but she's also kind of maudlin, so I didn't quite connect with her. She's been kept in the dark about a lot of things she should've been told; she's been done a real disservice, so she hasn't had the opportunity to really come into her own. She's woefully ill prepared and coddled at times. The problems in her life could've really improved with some honesty from those in her life. There's some majorly dangerous things going on in Ana's life, which made for some entertaining action. What missed with me in this story was the romance aspect; I actually don't really think there's much romance in this. The connection just wasn't there for me with anyone. Dohlan is obviously untrustworthy, and Ana is just a moron with him. Jaden and the Skylar thing was just stuipid. His excuse was just so lame, and the whole situation was just junk; it felt like he's playing games with Ana. Also, I hated how Ana handled Skylar, or rather didn't handle her; she'd just always cower away. Ana does get a bit more confident as the story goes on, but I still wanted more from her. Overall, I found the story a very entertaining read with a premise that has me wanting to continue the story with the next book. There's still a lot of things that need to be discovered and explained, and a lot of places for the characters to grow and improve. So, I'm excited to see where the story goes!

Awakening - Book 2

Unique with some cool elements; nice descriptions of the world around the characters. The whole premise is very interesting. The story moves a bit slowly at times, but for the most part I’m entertained. My major gripe is that I didn’t connect with main character, Ana. She’s too whiny and just came off as weak to me, and she doesn’t really get better. Maybe a bit with her becoming the Balance Bringer, but I wanted her to have an inner strength all her own. I wanted more confidence and not be one step away from a mental breakdown. I feel she would’ve given up if it hadn’t been for the others in her group. I need more growth from her and I’m not seeing it so far, she’s a sad sack. I also wanted more character conversations because they just seem so separate from each other; they don’t connect. Too many secrets going on. Ana, Jaden, and her brother, Ry, have just reached the magical world of Hiddenkel and are on the search for a mystical woman, so the bit of a road trip is fun and has a bit of action that’s enjoyable. There’s an evil witch after Ana; her aunt Dreya, who wants to kill her and has cool zombie like soldiers, so that added more fun. Incubus, Dohlan, is also still being a bit of a problem; mostly for Ana and her connection with Jaden. I like learning more about Dohlan and his intentions. I feel bad that Jaden didn’t really have a chance to shine in this book; he barely says anything, so it’s kind of hard to feel any connection between Ana and Jaden. Still some sweet moments there.

I just really enjoy the whole idea for this series. I’m excited to see how it’ll end.

Empowering -Book 3

Fun magical adventure! For some reason, I was thinking this was a conclusion for Ana's story; probably because the next book is a prequel for this series, but Ana's story isn't over yet. This one does end on a cliffhanger. I'm excited to see where the story goes.

I'm loving the action and adventure Ana and her crew find themselves in. Plus, the magical world and elements are lots of fun. The action and adventure are what keep me entertained. In this book, the journey continues for the group as they make their way through Hiddenkel to find the mystic that supposedly can help answer Ana's questions about being the Balance Bringer. Her murderous aunt makes the journey difficult by sending her dangerous minions after Ana and her group. I'm still having a hard time connecting with the characters. I'm tired of them not getting things that seem so obvious to me; makes me think they are morons at times. Also, Ana hasn't grown enough for me since book 1; this is book 3, and she still doesn't trust in her gut, she's still being dishonest, she still doesn't believe in herself, and she is still being a bit whiny. I want to see her owning her powers and her decisions, so I hope that happens more in the coming books. I like Ana still, but I'm just getting a bit annoyed at her. I'm still warming up to Jaden too. He's a bit morose, but he's getting better. It was interesting learning a bit more about his past; I didn't really care for some of his actions in the past, but it gave a little background into why Jaden is the way he is. So yeah, interesting and entertaining story with likable characters, but moments that can be annoying and the story moves a bit slow at times. Still excited to read the next books; especially with that cliffhanger!

In my humble opinion, this is one of the best, if not the best, fantasy adventure series I have read. Each book is a masterpiece in itself and captivating and addictive. You won’t want to put it down. Plus you’ll have the bonus of not having to wait for the next book.
This is such a treasure having 3 together. The storyline is amazing. I’m sorry, I’m gushing here. You will not be disappointed if you buy this. So well worth it. Definitely a page turner. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

The Balance Bringer Chronicles is one of those series that you hate to get to the last page. Luckily, in this boxed set you can read the first 3 all at once.
Reading this series is an immersive experience. The descriptions are so rich that you feel you are there. The characters are so very well written that you forget this is fiction.
I love this series! After finishing this continue it in Igniting and Uniting, and discover Deona's story in Origins and Bree's in Mystic Maker.

What a wonderful trio of books. Ana's trials and tribulations are some on the best reading I've done lately. Full of twists, turns and lots of plots.
