SAG-AFTRA Members Approve 2025 Interactive Media Agreement
🎮 Video Game Strike Over! 🎮
SAG-AFTRA members have officially ratified the new Interactive Media Agreement with a resounding 95.04% approval, marking the conclusion of the video game strike, which had been suspended pending this vote. This victory was made possible by the unity and persistence of the video game performer community — from those who stood strong and raised awareness to everyone who participated in meetings and cast their vote.
Under the new agreement, performers will receive an immediate 15.17% compensation increase, with additional 3% raises scheduled in November 2025, 2026, and 2027. The overtime cap for overscale performers will now be based on double scale, and health and retirement contributions will increase by 0.5% immediately, with another 0.5% in October 2026.
Importantly, this contract includes foundational A.I. protections, requiring informed consent for use of digital replicas and allowing consent to be withdrawn during strikes.
This is a major step forward in securing sustainable careers for video game performers.
