We are excited to announce Especially for Homeschoolers, 2023-24. Our meetings are held on Tuesdays at the College of Southern Maryland, La Plata: Community Education Building. This year, our Rising Scholars will be gearing up for exciting academic challenges, including National History Day and NCAC's Good Old Fashioned Science Fair! Our Smaller Scholars will experience interdisciplinary adventures through a wide variety of engaging clubs, including arts and crafts. All age groups have the opportunity to explore a wide range of clubs through EFH.

EFH offers students the opportunity to shine, both individually and as a member of a team, fostering self-confidence, determination, collaboration, and a love of exploring and learning. 

Every fourth week will feature a field trip. In the past, field trips have included a guided activity at Hard Bargain Farm Environmental Campus, Freer Gallery of Asian Art and lunch at the Sakura Japanese Steakhouse, a show at The Puppet Co., and a guided tour at the Library of Congress. At times, we are able to purchase reduced-price tickets ($6/child) to educational shows at the Kennedy Center, which we will also make available to your family.

Parents are an integral part of our EFH program, assisting with teaching, character development, and field trips. This is not a drop-off program.
