Ruthless Crown

Ruthless. Cold. Savage . As the eldest son of the Gallagher family, I had to learn early to be emotionless and fearless as part of being groomed to one day be in charge. My father’s last words to me were, “Don’t trust them. Make them pay for killing your mother.” Who was he speaking of? The Italians? The Irish? The Russians? One thing for certain is the alliance between our clan and the Italians is over, but we can’t show our hand without first deciphering who’s the enemy. Until we know for sure, they all are.

Aurora Valentini is the daughter of the most powerful Italian Mafia family in New York. The sheltered princess is …

Mine to claim.

Mine to own.

Mine to break.

It doesn’t matter that she is betrothed to another man. As the new Clan Chief to the Irish throne, my plan to infiltrate the Italians to strengthen our empire and avenge my father’s murder rests solidly between her thighs. Her virginity is the chess piece in this unannounced war.

Once Aurora is abducted from her gilded cage, I will destroy her innocence—the purity her father holds sacred. Her only way out is through my ownership

Loved it!

Wow i really loved it! The start started with an action and things proceeded from there! Honestly, I was a bit confused and it took me some time to get into it but once a few of the doubts were cleared i finished it in one sitting! You will love it if you love Mafia, a strong heroine, an alpha male who is ruthless yet sweet to his love. Though i wouldn't call it an arranged marriage trope as characters were not married throughout the book but there was mention of arranged marriage throughout.

Second time reading from these authors

This is my second time reading from these authors and I definitely preferred this story over the first series I read. I loved Lennon’s character and the development he had throughout the book. I really loved the way his feelings developed for Aurora even when she had already fallen for him so quickly. Aurora’s character was very strong even when she was struggling with the situations she was in and I loved that she still allowed herself to trust Lennon even though she shouldn’t have. I am looking forward to the next book(s) in this series.

DNF… I didn’t make it far into this book before I stopped. The emphasis on her menstrual cycle seems like an odd fascination. There was a part about her, placing a pad between her legs and walking out of the bathroom with it swishing and then putting on clothes, and I don’t know if the writers don’t understand how pads work or if they’re just being obtuse but that’s not how they work. They make the lead also seems dark to his soul by degrading her to break her. I enjoy a dark romance but this just feels poorly written.

Not really a romance….

Wouldn’t really consider this for the romance I was expecting…but entertaining for the intrigue of the mafia and dangerous alliances and betrayals.

Lennon had just watched his father die. But before he died he let him know that who shot him also murdered his mother but he didn’t want retaliation he wanted Lennon to protect himself around people he could trust. So Lennon then became the head of the Irish Mafia. He had come up with a plan to make his clan strong. And that entailed abducting Aurora Valentini, the daughter of the head of the Italian Mafia. Not many people knew about her she had been kept hidden away that Lennon knew about her. He also knew the traditions of the Italian mafia and he had come up with a plan so Aurora could marry nobody but him.

Aurora was a prisoner in her own home. Her father didn’t want anyone to know about her. She had been homeschooled by the best tutors but what she also knew was that she was set to marry a man who she didn’t like who she didn’t know only because her father could then strengthen his status, thankfully Aurora had a maid who understood that she just needed to breathe and helped her get out of the house. But on this night she was abducted and thrown in a van and driven away. Aurora knew that this was her father getting his own back for her getting out of her prison so she stayed calm and that was when she felt a needle in her neck. But when she woke up she knew it wasn’t her father she knew she was in trouble.
Could Lennon carry out his plan??
Wow this is one brilliant read, I was seriously on the edge of my seat I don’t even know where to start Lennon is a strong confusing character who won my heart over really. His life has been very hard, he was trained from a young age of about 12 by his father what the mafia meant. He always tries to protect his brothers and his sister. But seeing the changes in him while he holds Aurora captive was addictive. Aurora Was so pure when she first got captured but isn’t not long until she’s having impure thoughts about him. But living as a captive is hard she has some tough lessons to learn and Lennon is not easy on her.
I honestly could not put this book down once I started and read it well into the night. I am so excited for the second book in the series. What an amazing read

Lennon ends up taking over after the death of his father. Instead of telling him who killed him he told Lennon it isn't who he thinks it is. He is a cold ruthless savage who takes his rival's daughter Aurora who is his adversary and gives as good as she gets. As these two battles of wills go against each other feelings begin to develop between them. This action-packed story kept me glued to it to see how Lennon and Aurora's relationship ends!.

Merged review:

He's the mountain man that captured her attention. When Penny's car breaks down, she has no choice but to get a room in town at the inn. On a hike up the mountain she falls and injures her ankle. Griff saves her from a mountain lion, and it will start an endearing journey between them. Griff takes one look at Penny and knows that she is his forever woman but when the towns people show up at his cabin will they take her away? This story kept me glued to the pages.

A novel that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. It was hard to put down.

Lennon found his father almost dead after several bullets struck him. His last words were about taking care of his family and encouraging his son to succeed.

It is then that a bitter Lennon plots revenge on his enemies. Now that he is the Clan Chief, he must be just as brutal as his father.

On the other hand, Aurora is abducted by people with odd accents. She thought they might have been working for her father, who could have planned such a prank. Unfortunately, it’s not that, but a huge war is going on.

This kind of story is interesting to me when there is a mafia component involved. In this case, it reminds me of Mario Puzo's books which appear to be movies.

My discomfort was heightened when Lennon said he owned Aurora. Women are always victims of bizarre acts in the mafia. Mafia violence is insane, given how cruel they are to their victims.

It is highly recommended.

Lennon becomes Clan Chief after is father is killed. He kidnaps Aurora who is the princess in the Italian Mafia to use her to help build power for his Clan. He is derailed when his ruthlessness towards Aurora starts to change. Her nature doesn’t allow for anyone to be hurt. Can they both get what they want.

Ruthless Crown was a great book. Aurora and Lennon story drew me in and kept me reading till the end. 5 for 🌶️. 5 ⭐️. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for hot, ruthless, sexy mafia with a sassy fmc.

This book was sooo friggin' GOOD!!! I LOVED the whole story from beginning to end. Lennon had the exterior of being ruthless and heartless in his plan to gain control of Aurora. Her strong resistance and fearlessness make her a strong adversary. As the story progresses, we get to see things change. Without giving any spoilers, Lennon and Aurora's journey is exciting, action packed and of course in our authors true form, quite steamy, lol. I highly recommend this book for all to read.

The first book in the Gallagher Crime Family series by S.R. Watson and Ryan Stacks, Ruthless Crown is a well written, dark mafia, arranged marriage romance. This dark, twisted, and forbidden story features a hot, ruthless and sexy hero and a strong, sassy heroine. There's suspense, revenge, action, and a whole lotta steam.

I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

Lennon and Aurora's story in this new mafia series was attention-grabbing and held me captive. Darkly delicious and arousing plotline with an intriguing cast of characters. Scattered throughout were tiny little teasers of what could be upcoming story lines for more books in the series.
