Skellefteå is situated in Västerbotten, the southern entry into Swedish Lapland with plenty of space.

A countryside of dense forest, more than 500 000 acres. Wild rivers, more than 1500 lakes and mile upon mile of coastline. Skellefteå’s coastline is more than 300 km, along the Bothnian Bay. Add to that an endless stream of cliffs, marshes and open spaces as well as an archipelago with more than 200 islands.
